Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.  John 17:17

God's Word is our source of truth in a world that is filled with illusions, lies and deception. The Bible tells us that Satan is the god of this world's system and that he is a liar. His tatics are to tempt, accuse, and deceive. Of those three, deception is probably his biggest threat because you know when you are tempted and you may know that you are being accused. But when you are being deceived, you don't know it because that is the very nature of deception. His strategy is to hold you in bondage by believing his lies about who you now are in Christ, what God is like, and for you to believe that he is all powerful.

This is why Jesus told his disciples, “you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” Identifying Satan's lies in your life and replacing them with God's truth is a first step toward living a victorious Christain life.  For example...

You are a sinner because you sin

You are a saint (one declared righteous by God) who sins

Your identity comes from what you have done

Your identity comes from what God has done for you

Your identity comes from what people say about you

Your identity comes from what God says about you

Your behavior tells you what to believe about yourself

Your belief about yourself determines your behavior

Something is true only if you believe it

You should believe it because God says it is true

Satan is as powerful as God

Jesus said “All authority in heaven and earth is Mine.”

Satan has authority over your life

The only authority Satan has over you is believing his lies. He was defeated at the cross.

Your good works make you acceptable to God

You are accepted by God ONLY because of what Jesus has done for you.

The ministry of T3 Discipleship is based on teaching Christians to not only know God's word but to believe by faith what He says to be true. It is essential for every believer to know their new identity in Christ and how to biblically resolve personal and spiritual conflicts which hold them back from experiencing abundant life in Christ. Our acceptance, signficance, and security is found only in our relationship with Christ.
